You have probably come to this site because you want to both travel for pleasure and travel with a purpose.
I have been in the industry since 1981 and during that time I have seen both the positive and negative sides of travel and tourism. All too often the negative was the dominant force but, in recent years, the trend toward travelling responsibly and sustainable tourism has started to redress the balance and to have a positive impact.
Some might say that travelling positively is about ‘giving back’ but I prefer to view it as travelling to share: a fair exchange of time, money and cultural experiences. A dialogue between equals.
The primary aim of Positively Travel is to seek out travel experiences in the developing world that have a positive intention toward environmental integrity, social justice and/or economic development.
