Safety and Security

Safety and security is paramount to us

Wherever you travel, whether at home or abroad, there is always an element of risk involved; fortunately few of you will ever experience a major problem. However Tony, during his years as a tour operator, has seen, heard of, or dealt with enough issues to believe it worthwhile repeating some basic advice.

When moving around, be alert and avoid drawing attention to yourself by wearing expensive jewellery etc.
If on a tour off the beaten track ensure you are suitably attired and do not take any unnecessary chances.
At each hotel familiarise yourself with the Fire Exits and other safety requirements.
If there is a beach and/or swimming pool check the depths before entering and at the coast take local advice on sea conditions.
If travelling with small children, look out for potential hazards e.g. unprotected open water, glass doors, balconies etc.
Quite simply, in matters involving your personal safety, we urge you to take all reasonable precautions to protect yourself and your travelling companions.

Travel Advisories

They are a great place to start though and for your convenience we have listed links to official government websites in the countries where the majority of our site visitors appear to reside.

Local suppliers

While we prefer that our suppliers are not put to the test by such issues (!), when appointing them, we need to know they have the capacity to handle any manner of challenges.

No one can ever guarantee your safety and security but be assured this company and our suppliers will take all reasonable steps to minimise risk.

Local communities

The safety and security of our local hosts is also important to us and, where appropriate, suitable measures will be taken to safeguard the welfare of vulnerable members of the
